Dean of Westminster

The current, and 38th Dean of the Collegiate Church of St Peter Westminster is the Very Reverend Dr. John Hall. Appointed in 2006, Dr. Hall is one of the most respected theologian and educationist in the United Kingdom. He has written numerous papers, policies as well as opinion pieces over the years for various publications, and his views and advise are amongst the most highly sought after on matters relating to religious education.

His tenures as General Secretary at the Church of England Board of Education and as Chief Education Officer of the Church of England saw him developing policies and the practical application of religious education in schools, colleges and universities in the country.

He has been appointed as governors of no less than twelve education institutions and is currently also responsible for the management of the Westminster School and Abbey Choir School.

Dr. Hall is slated to preside over the marriage of HRH Prince William and Ms. Catherine Middleton on April 29 this year.
